Finally, the perfect Candidate from the West!
Hedy Fry intends to seek leadership, if she can raise the necessary funds. Finally, a candidate from the west steps in. Will Fry ride her horse, as the elegant cowboy hat-donning Western dame, from Vancouver to Montreal, and get the top job?...Only time will tell!

However, her image has been tainted from some so-called extreme comments (something about cross-burning, if I remember correctly). Based on qualifications though, she's at least as credible as Stronach, so no one should be discounted.

Thank heavens! Her succulent mind will provide a fine balance in an other wise intelligent leadership race.
Well I have been a supporter of Hedy ever since she was first elected.
Now as much as I support her, and if she does run I will support her in that run for leadership.
I don't think she would end up wining the leadership race but I think she should run.
She is very dynamic, passionate and is in politics for the right reasons. She is the greatest MP for Vancouver Center and I think her voice, thoughts and views should be part of the leadership race....
The cross burning thing is always brought up and it is so blown out of proportion....it is a minor flub...one thing....and yet she can not seem to live it down.
I think if people would really listen to her to speak, and meet her they would see someone very credible, smart, passionate with a genunine nature.
and this woman won't be wearing a cowboy hat but rather spiked boots!!!!
Bring it on! I would totally support Hedy. I would even help run her Toronto side of her campaign. Does anyone know if and when she will run? How can we help convince her? She could kick most of the candidates butts blindfolded. Listen to her speak and you'll be very impressed. By the way, that cross thing was answered on this other blog I found.

Fry's way more credible than Volpe. She has said some firy things over the past years, but at least she hasn't contradicted herself.
She's genuinely passionate, something that cannot be said for Mr. Volpe.
We need women from the west in the race, and she would be a welcome addition. Whether I support her or not...that's a different story. Go Hedy Go!

Watch out for Volpe! He's picked Jim Karygiannis as his campaign manager:
